After Princess Adriana left Bonny’s Revenge for her arranged marriage, Dragon Father set off on his quest.
It was a wild quest, where he single-handedly defeated frost giants, orcs, and a terrible scheme to forge a single ring that would rule the entire world.
The adventure was wilder than usual, more violent, required more effort on his part, but Justin Shelley, Pirate Extraordinaire, was up to the job.
With the quest almost finished, just as he was about to stop the King of the Orcs from creating the ring, he disappeared, having woken up in his waking world, whatever that may be like.
For a split second, I was worried that Dragon Little would have to battle the rest of his quest, a quest that was not built for a child. But I had forgotten the laws of the Dream.
All the Orcs disappeared. All the objects and characters of the quest vanished as swiftly as Dragon Father.
I should never have worried about villains staying around while Dragon Little was not on adventure with her father.
Everything that had been created by Dragon Father in this dream vanished. Including the archipelago Dragon Little had spent all this time on.
He had left her there with no water and no food for seven hours. And now, he had left her there with no island to rest her feet on.
The only thing that was left of the dream was a huge sea turtle she had befriended. Naturally, he had remained behind.
He swam underneath the surprised Dragon Little, so that her legs straddled his armor, and rose above water.
“Thank you, turtle,” she petted him. “I’ll call you Thank You. Do you like that name?”
Thank You nodded.
She looked around. “Dad is gone. He’ll be back.” She sighed. “I’m thirsty and hungry.”
She patted Thank You’s head. “Let’s play until he comes back. Show me how fast you can swim!”
Dragon Little played with Thank You for a few hours until she fell asleep on top of its shell.
Thank You continued to float until Dragon Father returned.
Tomorrow I will tell you about Dragon Father’s return.
