“Look closely, little pirate,” the Super Ninja said.
Dragon Little stood next to the villain she had just released. The two were faced the closed door to Dragon Little’s cabin on Bonny’s Revenge.
Dragon Little nodded.
“Hiiiiiii-yaaaaa!” the Super Ninja yelled as he ran at the door quickly, jumped on it, ran up vertically a couple of steps, then jumped and flipped in the air, landing on his feet.
“The trick is the speed,” the Super Ninja said. “If you’re fast enough, you can do it.”
Dragon Little nodded. She was only four years old.
She took a few steps back and yelled, “Hiiiii-yaaaaaa!” as she ran towards the door.
She stopped just two steps short of the door.
She looked back at the villain, then at the wall.
“Okay,” she said.
She walked farther away and prepared herself.
“Hiiiii-yaaaaa!” She ran as fast as she could, then jumped just as she reached the door.
Unfortunately, her entire body slammed into the door and she fell on the wooden deck.
“Try it again,” the Super Ninja said.
She got to her feet without as much as a whine, then walked the farthest she could on the deck.
“Hiiii-yaaaaaaa!” she ran.
She was able to jump enough to have her feet on the door, but quickly fell on her back.
She pursed her lips. “I can do this.”
She tried again and again, as the Super Ninja watched silently.
Every time she fell.
“I feel you cannot run fast enough yet,” the Super Ninja offered his hand to the little pirate. “Perhaps when you grow more and your legs become longer?”
Dragon Little took his hand and stood up. “When I’m older. Definitely.”
“I think it’s time, then, that you put me in my cell.”
He turned his back to her, hands behind his back.
Dragon Little took his hand. “You don’t need cuffs. Let’s go.”
Hand in hand the two walked down the stairs and into the Infinite Prison in the belly of the ship.
They were beyond my sight, but I heard Dragon Little put the villain in his cell and lock the door behind him.
