It took them an hour to get to the south pole from Mars’ equator. But now they have been going for half an hour and it had only gotten colder.
“That’s so strange,” Dragon Father mumbled to himself.
He then shrugged and flew faster. “Let’s keep going!”

Bonny’s Revenge hovered just above the surface of Mars. My hiding place, behind the bright glare of the dream’s two suns, was still good for seeing what Dragon Father and Dragon Little were doing on Mars just as well as what they were doing on the surface of Earth’s ocean.
The pirate ship hovered just above the reddish, cracked desert which was Mars’ surface.

Dragon Father exhaled slowly. “Jeez. It’s beautiful. You know, when I was a kid, I wondered if I would ever get to space, set foot on Mars, see alien planets, fight evil villains, and save the world. Now we do it every day.”
“A-ha,” Dragon Little was still clearly still resentful that they did not have any adventure that day. Her arms were crossed and her face sour.
“Isn’t it beautiful?”
“A-ha.”

“Here we go!” Dragon Father pulled back on the wheel and Bonny’s Revenge pulled out of the water and rose into the air.
Behind them, they had a left a flag. They had buried its pole in the sea and above water it towered above the highest mountain. The flag itself - the cloth itself - was huge, and flapped in the wind.

“Did you know, Joy…” Dragon Little and Dragon Father were both staring at the horizon calmly. It was morning, Joy had just woken up, eaten, brushed her teeth ,and brushed her hair. Dragon Father was calmer than usual, taking his time, not looking for adventure to find him. “Did you know that the Earth is round?”
Dragon Little, now four and a half years old, looked at him, and said, “What’s Earth?”
