#270: Backwards Day: The Beginning
Real adventure, real villains are dangerous. I know more than others, for I have seen many deaths of my fellow dragons, many deaths of dreams, and many humans die while dreaming.
But adventure in Dragon Father’s dreams are fun. Sometimes Dragon Father finds ways to make the adventure even more fun.
“Morning good, Joy!” Dragon Father woke his daughter up cheerfully in her cabin.
“Huh?”
“Morning good! Happy you?”
Dragon Little was four years old, and this was the first time I had seen him behave like this. “Stop talking like that!” She was immediately awake and annoyed.
“No, no,” he talked with a normal tone again. “This is Backwards Day! We do everything backwards! Backwards do everything we… uh, backwards!”
“Huh?”
“Okay. No talking backwards. It’s hard. But look…” I heard him walk, then, from my hiding place kilometers above them, I saw him exiting her cabin on Bonny’s Revenge backwards. “We walk backwards! We do everything backwards! We even fight bad guys backwards!”
Dragon Little ran out of the cabin with full energy. “We fight the bad guys backwards?!”
“Backwards!”
“How do we do that?”
“I don’t know yet. Wanna do it?”
“Yai!” she jumped in the air. “Yai yai yai yai!”
“Eat and brush your teeth and we’ll get on our way!”
Dragon Little brushed her teeth and ate as fast as she could.
“Look at this!” Dragon Father was at the helm and the ship began to rise above the ocean. “We’re flying backwards!”
Bonny’s Revenge started slowly. “Boy, this is harder than I thought,” he said once he figured out he had to look behind himself all the time. “Wish I had a mirror.”
“Stand here!” Dragon Little stood behind the wheel, looking at him.
“Great idea, Joy!” He ran around the wheel. “And away we goooooooo!”
And Bonny’s Revenge flew backwards into the atmosphere and into space and towards adventure.
This ist how the day began. Tomorrow I will tell you how the adventure started on Backwards Day…
