#357: The Pirate Ninjas Raid, Part 4: Wild Joy
Dragon Little, hands bound behind her back, leapt at the pirate ninja closest to her and bit his hand.
She was mad and angry and venomous at the fact they had stolen her only toys, which she called the Dollies, and that now had fallen down the volcano and were destroyed.
The bitten ninja shouted in pain.
Dragon Little used the fact that he was off balance to slam her head into his stomach and run forward, causing him to lose balance and fall into the volcano.
She turned around and roared at them, “I WILL CRUSH YOU!”
Now there were ten pirate ninjas surrounding her, their weapons out.
She stood fiercely defiant. But she was only 3 years old, and her hands were bound.
I rose in my hiding place.
I was afraid Dragon Father had woken up too fast and his subconscious may not have created the ninja pirates well enough to not attack her if she attacks them too fiercely.
They were getting closer.
I was about to leap into flight and save her when the clouds flickered and wind returned to the Dream.
I looked down.
Dragon Father had arrived back at his dream, but on Bonny’s Revenge, far far away from Lava Planet.
I sat down, ready to leap into action if the need arose.
But it did not. His presence in the dream was enough.
The Pirate Ninjas took one step closer to Dragon Little, when something rose out of the volcano behind them.
The Pirate Ninjas all took a few steps back and bowed.
A giant creature of lava was standing in the middle of the volcano, towering above them. It looked oddly like one of the Dollies.
“I am the Spirit of the Dollies,” the creature rasped loudly, “merged with the Spirit of the Volcano. You have angered me and defiled me. You will escape or I will hunt you down!”
The Pirate Ninjas turned around and ran, each in his own direction. Strangely, none ran back to their ship.
“Heh heh heh,” the creature rasped gleefully, “they are such frightened children.”
The creature then looked down at Dragon Little. “But you, you may be a child, but you are a brave warrior. I have spoken with your Dollies. They are sad they cannot be with you anymore. But they want to tell you that they are very happy. Plus… they have a gift for you?”
“A grenade launcher?” Dragon Little asked.
I almost laughed. But a laughing dragon ist a sad and dangerous sight.
The gift, of course, was not a grenade launcher.
I will tell you tomorrow of the gift and how this adventure ended.
