‘The Squashbuckler Diaries’ are the daily tales of Joy Shelley’s Life in the Dream. The ‘Lost in Dreams’ books will tell the story of what happens to her at ages 6, 9, 12, 15, and so on. The diaries tell us what happens before, after, and between the books.

#70: Yes Yes Yes!

“Yes yes yes!” Dragon Father said.

“No no no!” Dragon Little replied, smiling.

“Yes yes yes!” He nodded.

“No no no!” She shook her head.

“Yes yes yes!”

“No no no!”

He stomped his feet, “Yes! Yes! Yes!”

She copied his behavior, stomping her little feet. “No! No! No!”

“Yes!” he said through gritted teeth. “Yes! Yes!”

She shook her head. “No no no!”

“No no no!” He shouted triumphantly.

“Yes…” she started and stopped. Her eyes narrowed looking at him. “No no no!”

He laughed. “I thought that would work.”

“No no no!”

“Yes yes yes!”

And that is how Dragon Father and Dragon Little spent half an hour in the witches’ jail until the witches came to kill them.
