#3: The Hurricane Game
One day, the ocean was full of powerful winds, once Dragon Father (Justin) appeared on Bonny’s Revenge. Dragon Little (Joy) and Dragon Father have lived on Bonny’s Revenge, their pirate ship, since before I came into their lives.
Even though the ship can sail in the air and in outer space, it often rests on the ocean when Joy sleeps. And the sea is often without wind at all.
But now, Dragon Father’s thoughts brought on powerful winds, and soon a massive hurricane formed on the horizon.
“Ooh! Ooh! Watch this!” Dragon Father said.
The hurricane came closer, and rose above them, so that the small eye of the hurricane rested just above the ship. The wind did not bother them too much.
“Okay, look!” Dragon Father said, and leapt up.
The wind swept him up into the eye, it spun him around quickly, and just as quickly plopped him down on his feet, where he had begun.
“Cool!” Dragon Little jumped. “Me too me too me too!”
Dragon Father put his hands together to form a ‘step’. “Put your leg here.”
She did.
“When I count to three, I push you up and you jump. Ready?”
She nodded.
“One… two… THREE!”
Dragon Little jumped perfectly just as Dragon Father pushed his hands up. She was in the air, and then the wind swept up powerfully up even more. It spun her around: “Wheeeeeee!” and brought her back down to the deck.
She landed softly, as the wind of the dream was forgiving.
“Awe! Some!” She shouted.
“Again!”
And they did it again.
“Again!”
And they did it again.
“Again!”
And they did it again.
“Again!”
And they did it again.
“Again!”
And they did it again.
“Again!”
I was never raised by a father or a mother. No one ever . I was raised to be a slave. I always watched Dragon Little and Dragon Father with envy and happiness. Watching them play was the greatest joy in my life, as well.
I watched do do back-flips in the wind. I watched them do more than one spin. I watched them fly up to the top of the hurricane then land back safely. I watched them ride the hurricane together, on opposite sides, then holding hands. I watched them find a million different ways to play with the hurricane.
I watched them as, for once, they spent all the day playing and not battling villains. It was amazing.
